Ginger began in October, 2005. I started flower design
purely by chance when I sustained an injury which left
me unable to continue with my first love; Nursing.
I've always loved flowers, and thus started a new hobby,
putting together a few designs for my own home. Family
and friends were impressed and suggested sometime ago
that I should make this my new 'career'.
Because of my physical restrictions fresh flowers were
unfortunately not really an option but faux flowers have
improved beyond recognition over the last few years. So
much so that people stop to smell them, myself included!
I
have sourced a variety of fantastic quality faux flowers
and accessories which lend themselves to both contemporary
and traditional designs.
I was quite shocked to find out just how much I had accumulated
and decided that I had to give it a go. Once or twice
things had to be put on hold for health reasons, each
postponement making me more nervous than the time before.
Working from home makes life much easier and I'm lucky
to have a fantastic husband who helps not only with the
lifting and transportation, but also the moral support
and love that has helped me to get where I am.
My main outlets are craft fairs, house parties and offices,
however a lot of my business comes via word of mouth or
further orders from existing clients.
Within this site I have attempted to display pictures
of some of my creations, with more to follow.
Please note that the majority of the designs are exclusive
and are not always able to be duplicated.
Thank you for taking the time to look which I hope you
find interesting and enjoyable, please drop me an e mail
and give me your feedback.

You
can also meet me and see my creations at the Biddick Arts
Centre in Washington on the first Saturday of every month
from 10am, the Arts Centre stages the highly popular art
and craft fair where you can find a range of hand-made
goods from ceramics and glass-ware to jewellery and textiles.
